Storms & Chocolate

All week long I've been watching storms roll in, the wind blow and the rain come down. Enough rain that I have had to empty the 55 gallon rain barrel twice in four days.

On one of the stormy days I figured I make the hubs and I a treat.

A couple of hours later two pans of Dark Chocolate with crushed and slivered almonds and a sprinkle of sea salt was the result. Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!!
This will last about a month since we only have one or two pieces a day or so.

Tomorrow I'll get out the bread machine and make an Italian Herb bread to go with Spaghetti. The bread will be a boxed mix just to see if we like it. If it ends up being a bread were not fond of I'll slice it, dry it and run it through the food processor for herb-ed bread crumbs to use in recipes.

That's all for today, until next post.......

Just Hanging Aroud

My life lately has been completely devoid of any crafting, stitching, sewing and designing mojo. Not even a spark to get me to look through my supplies.

So I have been going in a different direction and made Banana Bread and Cinnamon Raisin Bread much to the "Big Guys" delight. I also canned up some more Spaghetti Sauce and Olives.

Forgot to get a picture of the Cinnamon Raisin Bread.

Last month the Big Guy" brought me home a present and I completely love it. Best of all, it was FREE!

It is a 1938 Kohler Single Basin Drainboard Sink.
We may end up finding or making a base for it and use in an outdoor potting shed that I want to add out by our garden. Still need to clean it up.

Speaking of garden's I have 17 pots of Roma Tomatoes started that are around 6" tall and 3 each of two different Heirloom Tomatoes started, as well as cucumbers and a Wax Bean just to see if we like it. I've also started herbs like Parsley, Basil and Oregano. Trying Potatoes for the first time and look forward to seeing how it works out. Need to buy some Bell Pepper plants and onions, to help make up our mostly Spaghetti Sauce garden.

Until next time,

Take Care
